Pakistan Stands Firm on Regional Peace and Security: COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir
ISLAMABAD, July 26, 2025 –
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, security, and regional cooperation. Speaking at the Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference held in Islamabad, he emphasized the importance of strengthening military ties and strategic partnerships in the face of growing regional and global challenges.
The high-level conference brought together top defence officials from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The gathering focused on enhancing security collaboration, boosting joint training programs, and sharing expertise in counter-terrorism and defense strategies.
Field Marshal Munir stressed that in today’s complex global landscape—marked by hybrid warfare, terrorism, and cyber threats—there is a greater need for mutual trust, open communication, and coordinated military efforts. He highlighted Pakistan’s proactive role in fostering a stable and cooperative South and Central Asia.
Held under the theme "Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace", the event served as a platform to discuss regional security concerns, strategic trends, and ways to improve humanitarian responses in times of crisis. The participating nations expressed a shared vision to tackle common threats like terrorism, cyberattacks, and extremism through unity and collaboration.
